This policy covers information collected through this website by Smith Trial Law PLLC, 106 Carter Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22405.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, telephone number, email address, and a description of your matter.
- Basic technical information. Standard server and analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location, and the browser used.
How it is used
Information you submit is used to evaluate and respond to your inquiry, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We do not share it with third parties except service providers who help us operate the site and our communications, and only to the extent needed to do that work.
Submitting a form does not make us your lawyers
Sending information through this site does not create an attorney–client relationship and does not make what you send privileged. An attorney–client relationship begins only when the firm and the client both agree to it in writing. Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive material.
How long it is kept
Inquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to meet the firm's professional and record-keeping obligations, then deleted.
Your choices

Security
Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored on access-controlled systems. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date above.
